DESCRIPTION:LUFKIN\, TEXAS  \n\n\n\nThe City of Lufkin and Angelina County invite the community to take part in the Liberty Walk\, happening this Sunday\, May 3\, as the official kickoff to the America 250 Celebration. \n\n\n\nBeginning at 7:30 PM in Downtown Lufkin\, participants will gather at the courthouse near the Doughboy statue and walk together to Cotton Square in a lighted procession that symbolizes unity\, reflection\, and community pride. The evening will conclude with a live concert by Hance & Hughes at Cotton Square. \n\n\n\nThe Liberty Walk is designed to bring residents and visitors together for a meaningful shared experience\, honoring the nation’s history while celebrating the spirit of Lufkin today.
