The Texas Forestry Museum’s Fun in the Forest After Dark

The Texas Forestry Museum invites all Kids’ Club members to attend Fun in the Forest After Dark on Tuesday, Feb. 7, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.

At the event, kids will learn how to build a fire safely, make an owl craft, roast a hotdog over a campfire, and take a night hike on the Urban Wildscape Trail.

All attendees should make sure to wear closed-toe shoes, warm clothing, and bring a flashlight. If you are planning to attend, please RSVP by Friday, Feb. 3, at 936-632-9535.

If you are not a current Kids’ Club member you may join for just $5. You must be a member to attend this event. A special thank you goes to our event sponsors, Timber Pro Forest Service and E. L. Kurth Jr. Charitable Foundation, for making this event possible.

The Texas Forestry Museum, a private non-profit organization, is located at 1905 Atkinson Dr. in Lufkin. We are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday, except major holidays. For more information on the Texas Forestry Museum and its scheduled events, please call 936-632-9535.
