The Lufkin/Angelina County Chamber of Commerce will hold the 65th Annual Angelina County Youth Fair February 25 – March 1, 2014 at the George H. Henderson, Jr. Exposition Center. This five day event is sponsored by Brookshire Brothers and Polk’s Pick-It-Up.
Local high school students will be judged in a variety of categories including livestock, mechanics, and arts and crafts.
The winner of the competitions in each division are given the opportunity to showcase their project in the Auction on Saturday.
“Building character one project at a time” is the fair’s motto. The community is invited to come view the judging and other attractions at the fair.
The Hudson Forestry Service will kick things off on Tuesday with the forestry competition beginning at 9 a.m. Other competitions on Tuesday are cakes, desserts/cheesecakes, rabbits, and showmanship.
