The City of Lufkin will host it’s annual lighted parade tonight, Monday, Nov. 30. This year’s theme is ‘Stories of Christmas,’ and participants are ready to showcase their handiwork on bringing classics like ‘How The Grinch Stole Christmas,’ ‘A Christmas Carol,’ and so many more to life.
The event begins at 5:15 p.m. with live music at the Angelina County Courthouse and Judge Wes Suiter will switch on the Christmas lights at the Courthouse at 5:30pm. The parade will begin at 6 p.m. and will be announced live at the Courthouse and in front of the Pines Theater.
Bring a lawn chair and pick your spot to watch the parade, which will start on First Street and wind its way through downtown Lufkin, passing the Pines Theater, County Courthouse, City Hall, and, finally, Cotton Square.
If the parade is cancelled due to rain, it will be rescheduled for Thursday evening, Dec. 3.
