4 Easy Food Hacks to Try at Home

Date:

Using food hacks for every day life is fun and it’s easy to do! I’ve gathered 10 different and easy food hacks to try at home.

Making Mashed Potatoes

Having to hand mash and stir potatoes can get tiring quickly, and it will make your arm sore. Instead of going through all of that trouble, use an electric hand mixer to both mash and mix it. This takes a lot of the stress away from you arm and it makes mashed potatoes more quickly!

Cooking Ramen Noodles

If you don’t really like using the stove and just want to microwave instead, that’s okay! Cooking some ramen noodles in the microwave is easy. All you have to do is fill a microwaveable bowl with water until it gets barely above the noodles. Then, put it in the microwave for 2 1/2 minutes, add the seasoning after, and you’re done!

Warming Up Stale Bread

After a few days of your bread being covered by a kitchen towel, it can get pretty stale. Don’t worry, there’s an easy fix! All you have to do is cover your bread with a damp paper towel and put it in the oven or microwave for a few minutes, and the staleness will go away. Covering your bread with the damp paper towel is important because if you do not, warming it up could dry it out more or even burn it!

Keeping Your Coffee Cool and Caffeinated

This tip is important for iced coffee lovers who don’t want their caffeine high watered down. Brew some fresh coffee (as strong as you like it) and pour it into an ice cube tray. Add the frozen coffee cubes to cold brew or iced coffee, or blend them with milk to make an iced latte. Whenever these frozen coffee cubes melt, you get more coffee rather than water.

Using these food hacks is not necessary, however it does make your life a little easier! There are definitely more food hacks out there, and I encourage you to go look at them if any of these piqued your interest.
