Angelina Youth Advocate for TEXAS Tobacco 21

Five Angelina County youth visited the Texas State Capitol to advocate for tobacco control legislation, including bills to stop the sale of tobacco, including e-cigarettes and JUUL, to their peers under age 21. In addition to scheduled visits in offices, the entire T21 youth group from across the state (21 of them total) canvassed the Capitol and dropped off information packets to every representative and senator.

Since 1988, The Coalition has focused on eliminating the use of harmful substances by affecting public policy, laws, attitudes and behaviors, all in an effort to foster healthy life-long choices for the local community.
