The Coalition, Inc. is hosting a Recovery Day in the Park from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24 at Grace Dunn Richardson Park in Lufkin. Recovery Day in the Park is a free, platinum-level Family Friendly Festival designed to celebrate recovery.
The event will be filled with activities for the whole family and several different speakers.
September is Recovery Month, and research has shown that the most effective way of reducing the use of alcohol and drugs in teens is to reduce the availability of both, according to The Coalition, Inc. Recovery Day was given platinum-level status because it will be 100 percent drug and alcohol free.
