DETCOG Cancelling Open House and Board Meeting

Date:

The Deep East Texas Council of Governments (DETCOG) is cancelling its Open House and Board Meeting that was set for this Thursday, August 31, 2017 in Trinity.

“Many of our board members are currently responding to emergency situations in their jurisdictions and travel conditions are questionable for everyone,” said DETCOG Executive Director Lonnie Hunt.

DETCOG’s Executive Committee will instead be meeting by conference call to take care of essential business items. That meeting will take place at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 31, 2017. The public can listen to the conference call at the DETCOG office at 210 Premier Drive in Jasper, Texas.

The next “50 Years of Service” Open House and DETCOG Board meeting is scheduled to be held at First Baptist church in Woodville on Friday, September 29, 2017. The open house will be held from 11:30 a.m. till Noon with a luncheon and board meeting to immediately follow.

Anyone needing information may contact the Deep East Texas Council of Governments Office in Jasper at (409) 384-5704.
