DETCOG Regional Housing Authority Accepting Applications For Regional Waiting List

The DETCOG Regional Housing Authority will open its Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list on July 1, 2016.  Applications will be accepted during the period of July 1 to Sept. 30, 2016.  DETCOG service area includes:  Angelina, Hardin, Houston, Jasper, Newton, Polk, Sabine, San Augustine, San Jacinto, Shelby, Trinity and Tyler counties.

Individuals interested in applying for rental assistance should contact the housing authority to obtain an application.  Its office locations are:  Jasper Office, 210 Premier Drive, Jasper, Texas 75951 (409-384-5704 or 1-800-256-6848); Lufkin Office, 118 South First Street, Lufkin, TX 75901 (936-632-6922 or 1-800-256-7696); or Kountze Office, 440 Monroe, Kountze, TX 77625 (409-246-2128) (Tuesdays and Thursdays).  Applicants may also complete an application online following these steps:

The waiting list will officially close September 30, 2016 at 5:00 pm.   No applications will be accepted this year after September 30, 2016.
