Georgia-Pacific Employees Collect Shoes for Needy Angelina County Students

Date:

CORRIGAN, TEXAS … Angelina County students will be stepping out in style as they head back to the classroom this Fall. For the last couple of weeks Georgia-Pacific employees in Diboll have been collecting new shoes for children in need. It was all part of the Buckner Children and Family Services’ annual shoe drive. More than 50 pairs of shoes—from athletic sneakers and walking shoes to tennis shoes adorned with glitter and bows in a multitude of sizes—were purchased by GP employees and donated to the non-profit organization. The shoes will be distributed to children during the Angelina County Junior League’s annual Back-to-School Bonanza on August 11.
