GROVETON SIDEWALK CONSTRUCTION SET TO BEGIN

Date:

Work is set to begin in Trinity County on a project designed to construct sidewalks in various locations within the city of Groveton.

Crews will begin work on Nov. 30 along South Main Street, Front Street and South Devine Street in Groveton. Work will require pedestrian detours and motorists to stay alert and reduce speed through the work areas. Pedestrians and motorists should obey all traffic control in place.

The City of Groveton and TxDOT are utilizing funding from the Transportation Alternatives Set-Aside Program to construct sidewalks, curb ramps, railing, and additional lighting that will be constructed in compliance with ADA requirements.

Ti-Zack Concrete, Inc., Le Center, MN, will serve as contractor for the $975,968 construction project that should be completed in Spring 2021, weather permitting.
