Local Church To Hold Festival Of Fellowship, Praise

Date:

Cross Road Baptist Church, located on Old Union Road in Hudson, Texas, is holding a Festival of Fellowship and Praise from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 8.

“I have been wanting to do an event like the Festival of Fellowship and Praise for about three years but just didn’t know how or even where to start,” Cross Road’s praise and worship pastor Chuck Haner said. “Well, none of that has changed, but I decided ‘What the heck? Do a lot of praying and let God lead the way.'”

With live music, free food, refreshments, testimony, a time for planning community outreach, and more, the festival will be an opportunity for many people from around East Texas to network, fellowship, and enjoy a fall day in Texas. The event is family friendly, and all ages are encouraged to attend.

“I have long wondered what might be accomplished if all of the Christians within a community worked collectively to reach those who are lost and tell them about the good news that is Jesus Christ,” Haner said. “Reaching those that are lost should be of the utmost importance to any Christian. For, after all, Jesus himself commissioned us to ‘go forth and make disciples,’ and we shouldn’t concern ourselves with where someone goes to church, just that they go to church.”

The festival is free of charge. Haner and Cross Road invite any church praise band that wants to play and anyone who wishes to donate their time and/or supplies to contact the church at 936-875-2810.

Check out the Festival of Fellowship and Praise Saturday, Oct. 8, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Cross Road Baptist Church on 5814 Old Union Road in Hudson.
