Maker Camp Judy B. McDonald Public Library

(Nacogdoches) The Judy B. McDonald Public Library is entering their second week as an official Maker Camp Affiliate this summer for the second year in a row. The free six week program is for young Makers interested in DIY, making, creating, crafting, hacking, tinkering, and learning. Each Monday through Friday until August 19 th , the library will host an open Making session from 2:00-3:00 p.m. Materials and instructions will be provided to make a project based on the week’s theme. The theme for Week Two is Way Out Sound. Participants will make electronic instruments and have a chance to write and make music. Some of the skills engaged will be circuit bending, creating synthesizers, programming, electronics and, of course, music.
