Nacogdoches Public Library Offers Careers Without College Program

Date:

The Judy B. McDonald Public Library will host a program called Careers Without College. Attendees will learn about high-paying, highly-skilled jobs that do not require a four-year college career.

“There are many jobs such as plumbing, electrician, and welding that are in demand. Not all students want a traditional classroom education but are very smart and can use their talents to learn a skill and perhaps begin their own business.

This class will help direct students toward resources to help them achieve those goals,” said Mercedes Franks, library director.

The class is free and no registration is required. For more information, please call 559-2970.

The Judy B. McDonald Public Library will also hold a computer class on making flyers and invitations using Microsoft Publisher and the popular online site, Canva.

By learning to use these two programs together, participants will be able to create memorable and eye-catching flyers and presentations.

The free class is Wednesday, May 11th from 5:30-7:30 pm. The public library also offers a variety of computer classes and tech help classes. Please call 559-2970 for more information.
