The Deep East Texas Council of Governments is seeking proposals from interested and qualified licensed and bonded contractors to provide home modification, home repair, and home weatherization services in the following counties:
– Angelina County – Houston County
– Nacogdoches County – Newton County
– Polk County – Sabine County
– San Augustine County – San Jacinto County
– Shelby County – Trinity County
– Tyler County
Local Contractors who meet the qualifications and perform work in any of the above counties are encouraged to respond. Multiple Contractors may be selected to perform work.
Examples of services to be provided:
– Home Modification
o Installation of ADA Ramp including Handrails
o Installation of ADA Bathroom including ADA Shower, Grab Bars and Toilets
– Home Repair
o Repair/replace broken windows and doors
o Repair/replace septic systems including field drain repairs/replacement
o Repair/replace electrical systems including switches, breakers, and wiring
o Repair/replace HVAC systems
– Home Weatherization
o Repair/replace roof
o Sealing windows, doors, and garage doors
o Installing siding & facia boards
o Masonry repairs
