The Texas Forestry Museum’s Fun in the Forest After Dark

Date:

The Texas Forestry Museum invites all Kids’ Club members to attend Fun in the Forest After Dark on Tuesday, Feb. 7, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.

At the event, kids will learn how to build a fire safely, make an owl craft, roast a hotdog over a campfire, and take a night hike on the Urban Wildscape Trail.

All attendees should make sure to wear closed-toe shoes, warm clothing, and bring a flashlight. If you are planning to attend, please RSVP by Friday, Feb. 3, at 936-632-9535.

If you are not a current Kids’ Club member you may join for just $5. You must be a member to attend this event. A special thank you goes to our event sponsors, Timber Pro Forest Service and E. L. Kurth Jr. Charitable Foundation, for making this event possible.

The Texas Forestry Museum, a private non-profit organization, is located at 1905 Atkinson Dr. in Lufkin. We are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday, except major holidays. For more information on the Texas Forestry Museum and its scheduled events, please call 936-632-9535.
