Thanksgiving is just around the corner! The Salvation Army is thankful to be able to serve those in need this holiday season, and what better way than a home-cooked meal and a food box to prepare a Thanksgiving feast the next day.

On Wednesday, November 24, The Salvation Army will be partnering with the City of Lufkin Parks and Recreation staff to provide food to anyone in need. The holidays add an extra burden for so many who live paycheck to paycheck, and this is one way The salvation Army can assist those who may be struggling to provide a Thanksgiving meal for them and their family. Thank you to the incredible donors and volunteers who come alongside us to serve our community.

As always, we are seeking volunteers for the holidays – sign up to be a bell ringer by going to www.registertoring.com/. Put in your zip code, select a location, date, and time, and you’re ready to ring! Make it fun by inviting friends, family, or groups to join you at the red kettle.

For additional volunteer opportunities with The Salvation Army, please contact our office at (936) 634-5132. As always, thank you for ‘Doing The Most Good’!
