Series of Events Highlights Cultural Contributions
Starting this month and extending throughout the end of February, Angelina College will honor Black History Month with a series of events including art galleries, guest speakers, and musical performances.
Beginning with an exhibition opening Monday, Jan. 22 in the Angelina Center for the Arts Gallery (with a reception taking place starting at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 23), the college will host several events geared toward raising awareness of cultural contributions in all forms.
Returning artists include Gary Roberts and Karen Christopher, among others, with Roberts scheduled to lead a gospel singing event.
All events offer free admission to the public.
