DETCOG’s Area Agency on Aging Holding Medicare/Social Security Seminar

Lufkin, Texas – Area Agency on Aging of Deep East Texas Council of Government will hold a Medicare/Social Security Seminar Thursday, July 13, 2023, at the Lufkin Convention Center, 601 North 2nd Street in Lufkin, Texas. The seminar is scheduled from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm.

The seminar’s theme is “Power in Community” and will feature experts on Medicare, Social Security, Adult Protective Services, and a lawyer from Lone Star Legal Aid.  The seminar is being sponsored by the Area Agency on Aging and the Aging Disability Resource Center; both are programs of the Deep East Texas Council of Governments.

In addition to the presentations, there will be tables with information and representatives from Lone Star Legal Aid, Crockett Resource Center for Independent Living, Southland Rehabilitation & Healthcare, Star Plus, Social Security, Area Agency on Agency, Adult Protective Services, and the Aging Disability Resource Center.
