Drug Free All-Stars will Kick Off Project Sticker Shock

Date:

The Angelina County Drug Free All-Stars alongside The Coalition’s board and staff will be kicking off Project Sticker Shock on Monday, March 5 with a press conference at Brookshire Brothers (301 S. Chestnut St.) in Lufkin beginning at 10:00am. The guest speakers will be Judge Wes Suiter; County Judge, Amy Tang; Lufkin High School Drug Free All-Star and Adam Lowther; Former All-Star and Public Relations Associate for Brookshire Brothers.

Project Sticker is a Drug Free All-Star community awareness campaign that hopes to make adults aware of the dangers of underage drinking and the consequences of providing to minors. The stores participating are Brookshire Brothers Food & Pharmacy & Tobacco Barns, Polk’s convenience stores. La Michoacana Meat Market, Big’s convenience stores, Hernandez Grocery and Coleman’s convenience store in Zavalla. The Drug Free All-Stars hold this event annually before the Spring Break holiday. Holidays are the most deathly days for alcohol related accidents within minors.
