While much of the attention – and deservedly so – gravitates toward Natasha Mack, the Angelina College Lady Roadrunners are showing they’re much more than a one-woman band.

Take, for example, AC’s recent win at Paris College. In earning a win in their conference opener, the Lady ‘Runners got 29 points from Mack while every other AC player found her way into the scorebook. Ayesha Davis came off the bench to add 13 points and Mia Perkins finished with eight points in the 91-54 win in Paris.

The team-wide contributions have led the Lady Roadrunners to a six-game winning streak and seven “W”s in the team’s last eight games.

On Wednesday, AC will host Panola College in another conference matchup. The red-hot Fillies have reeled off seven straight wins, including a 91-70 win over Jacksonville College in last week’s conference opener. The Fillies (7-0, 1-0) boast a trio of double-figure scorers in Patience Okpe (17.3 points per game), Daria Eremeeva (14.4 ppg) and Maria Adaschchyk (13.1 ppg).

The Lady Roadrunners (6-2, 1-0) will counter with Mack’s 21 points, 12 rebounds and five blocked shots per game, in addition to a strong overall defensive presence allowing just 53.3 points per contest.

Game time at Shands Gymnasium is 6:30 p.m. Viewers can catch the live stream by logging onto www.angelinaathletics.com.
