The ninth annual Guy Davis Golf Tournament will take place on Saturday, August 20 at Crown Colony Country Club in Lufkin.
Tournament organizers are currently seeking teams and hole sponsors for the five-man scramble format, scheduled
for shotgun starts of 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Hole games and prizes include Hole-in- One (for a 2016 Toyota Tundra and for a $10,000 prize), long-drive and closest- to-the- pin contests, with prizes for those events as well.
A Calcutta for the tournament is set for 6 p.m. on Friday, August 19, also at Crown Colony, with a silent auction featuring various sports collectibles and other valuable items.
Proceeds from the tournament go to the Angelina Roadrunner Foundation in support of Angelina College athletics, in addition to providing scholarships to area students. Donations are tax deductible.
Sponsorship opportunities are still available.
