From the first minutes of the Kickoff Dinner on Friday at Crown Colony Country Club to the last drained putt on Saturday, the 16th Annual Guy Davis Golf Tournament proved again why it’s one of the area’s favorite events.
The tournament featured a total of 50 five-player teams competing in a scramble format. AC athletes assisted with scorekeeping and hole monitoring, and numerous former Roadrunners arrived from around the country to lend support to AC’s sports programs.
The Hunter Johnson team took the day’s lowest score playing in the scramble format, carding a -21 for the day.
Following are the flight leaders, scores, and team members:
Flight 1: Hunter Johnson, -21 (Cameron Hubbard, Morgan Hubbard, Hunter Johnson, Jace Spencer, and Jackson Treadwell).
Flight 2: (Tie at -19) Morris AC (Scott Summers, Jason Burton, Bradley Morris, Chad Ogden, Scott Summers, and Jeff Walker) and ACME Brick (David Bowen, Dustin Ford, Brad Hall, Eric Tarrant, and Lee Wallace).
Flight 3: (Tie at -19) East Texas Sports (Bobby Blanton, Duane Choate, Steve Hall, Jimmy Stanberry, and Brian Woods) and Double T&S Home (Michael Hinkelman, Scott Hinkelman, Randy Lindley, Rick Lindley, and Micah Montes).
