Free Farmer Safety Training Courses To Be Held In Polk County

Farmers and farm workers are invited to participate in a farmer safety training taught by the NC Agromedicine Institute Tuesday, July 12, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Dining Hall at the 4-H Center in Columbus.

The training is set to cover scene safety, response to traumatic injury, response to medical emergencies, and other farm safety topics. It is hosted by the Office of Agricultural Economic Development, Polk County Farm Bureau, AmeriCorps Project Conserve, and Polk County Cooperative Extension.

All participants will receive a free first aid kit, fire extinguisher, and a light lunch provided by Manna Cabana Catering will be served at 12 p.m.
