SFA’s Aiyana Johnson has been named the Western Athletic Conference TicketSmarter Player of the Week, the league office announced this afternoon. She led the Ladyjacks to a 3-0 week on the road grabbing wins over Grand Canyon, Utah Valley and Dixie State. SFA sits at No. 1 in the standings with record of 10-0.
Johnson averaged 16.7 points, 9.7 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.3 blocks in the team’s three wins last week, good for a pair of double-double performances against Dixie State and Grand Canyon. In the GCU game, she recorded 11 points, 11 rebounds, three assists and two blocks. She poured in her second double-double this week contributing 25 points and 13 rebounds at Dixie State, also contributing 14 points and five rebounds at Utah Valley.
Across all Western Athletic Conference games for the Ladyjacks thus far, Johnson is leading the team with 17.5 points, 8.1 rebounds and 1.8 assists.
SFA will be back in action tonight on Thursday against Chicago State. Tipoff is slated for 6:30 p.m. on ESPN+.
