Angelina College Presents Showtime! 2018

LUFKIN, TEXAS, March 27, 2018 – Take a trip through time with the AC Singers as they bring down the house with songs and dances from the twenties through today during Showtime! 2018, April 7 at 7:30 p.m. in Temple Theater on the Angelina College campus. Tickets are $6 for adults and $5 for seniors, students, and children.

The AC Singers are directed by Beckie Compton and include Colin Wise, Monica Scurlock and Nicholas Trusclair, all of Lufkin; Marina Zinck and Robyn Adams, both of Nacogdoches; Erin Wise of Jasper, Caitlyn Hutson of Kennard, Quavious Johnson of Conroe, Justin Birdwell of Alto, and Heather Barney of Devers. Stacy Dicks is the choreographer.

The group will performs songs such as “Hooray for Hollywood,” “How Great is Our God,” “Cowboy Sweetheart,” “Guiding Light” as well as a hip hop mix and other family-friendly selections.

“This year’s event is special because we have several AC Singer Alumni performing as part of our reunion celebration. It will be a spectacular evening of remembering wonderful tunes and friends,” Compton said.

Alumni performers are Sarah Jackson (Lufkin), Joshua Robinson, MaryJo Carlton White, Bill Taylor, Benton Reynolds, Shelby Perkinson Brown, Dominique Douglas, Kimberly Noble, Benton Reynolds, Billy Jack Smith, Julia Casey and Jad O’Connor.

Nancy Reynolds
Nancy Reynolds has proudly served Angelina College since 2000. She began serving as AC’s communications coordinator in 2005. Prior to that, she was the public relations specialist. Reynolds earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Stephen F. Austin State University. She taught speech courses as an adjunct for AC for eight years. As communications coordinator, Reynolds’ responsibilities include the following: writing news releases, directing social media, collaborating with the marketing team, managing the Angelina College brand, coordinating publications, managing web content, coordinating internal communications and providing media training. Reynolds lives in Lufkin with her husband Reg. They have two sons, one daughter-in-law, three grandchildren, and one cat.
