The Coalition is pleased to announce the 2025-2026 Drug-Free All Stars for Angelina County. The Drug-Free All Stars are a group of high school seniors from Angelina County who are selected to serve as role models for their community by living an alcohol, drug, and tobacco-free lifestyle. Drug-Free All Stars are active through the school year by volunteering in the community to promote a healthy and drug-free lifestyle. Recently, the Drug-Free All Stars attended training on the topics they will use throughout the year during their volunteer opportunities, including Advocacy and the Media, Addiction & the Brain, Industry Impact, Risks of Use, and Presentation Skills. Thank you to Brent Blackburn, from Texans for Safe and Drug Free Youth, for helping train the new cohort of Drug-Free All Stars. The All Stars this year consist of 71 students from all seven Angelina County high schools, including: Central, Diboll, Hudson, Huntington, Lufkin, Pineywoods Community Academy, and Zavalla. The Drug-Free All Star program is funded by a grant from the Texas Department of Transportation to reduce the number of alcohol-related crashes in Texas.
Since 1988, The Coalition has focused on eliminating the use of harmful substances by affecting public policy, laws, attitudes, and behaviors, to foster healthy life-long choices for the local community.
